World Toilet Day 2013

Today, we are celebrating the world toilet day. Unfortunately, diarrhoea is still one of the leading cause of death in children below five years old and a primarily cause of malnutrition in developing countries. Each year, diarrhoea kills over 700,000 children under five years old. Let's support effort to improve access to adequate sanitation and hygiene. With the recent devastating calamity in central Philippines, I hope that public officials will improve and will increase proper toilet facilities and source of safe drinking water for the masses.
