Dean L. Kamen is an American
inventor and is best known for inventing the Segway PT. Segway is an electric
transporter using gyroscopic technology and it utilizes a hi-tech control
system. Ngee Ann recently showcased the Segway and NP students will have the
chance to utilize this technology into action. An interesting fact, Mr.
Kamen attended a polytechnic education.
I had the chance to try this
efficient and zero-emission transporter during NP's 2012 open house. Using my
body weight (XX kg), I was able to control the two parallel wheels by moving my
mass to the direction I prefer.
